OK, Price quote from 'National' tyres, for Michelin Energy E3A speed rating H 185/65/R14 £69 each.
Price quote from 'Cheapest' (above) for the same tyre: £40 each.
Cheapest will add on £5 for balancing of each. (I'm not entirely sure if National will or not, because their price quote said valves and balancing was extra, but the guy on the phone said that was all in).
Even so, that's still a massive difference, when you consider I'm buying 4 of them. Even if I do have to wait 'till next week for him to get a new container of tyres.
£276 - £160 = lots of beer. (ok, so it might be - £180 but...)
Now all that's left is trying a 'will you beat it' ring around...
