Musings

What would happen if one were to pull up to a petrol station and start filling spirit bottles and stuffing rags in the top?

And a new and cool use of one of those blowtorch lighter thingies - toasting marshmallows.

What would happen

One would be rather lucky to avoid a chat with HM Constabulary, I suspect. I'm sure TPTB are quite well aware of the potential for abuse of fuel supplies have instructed their operators with that in mind.

More then that, there's actually laws in place about filling "improper" containers, mostly to attempt idiots filling the wrong things up. I remember during the petrol crisis a couple of years ago someone tried to fill up a wheely bin with petrol. End result was the petrol "ate" through the plastic and poured everywhere. If you check the signs in petrol stations is actually says it is an offense to fill up a non-approved container (ie a car or a petrol can marked for that purpose).

Ah yes, but he still _managed_ to fill his wheelie bin up with petrol.

The real question is,

Are you that bothered to know, to go and try it to find out?

...and how bulletproof do you feel? ;)
