SINergy

Well, it looks like stuff is starting to fall apart with SINergy.
Darren and Graham have hit 'burn out', between real life issues and graham being in leeds, unemployed and car-less.

And the props are in a building that's being evicted.

I'm planning to have a word with graham about it, but I'm thinking that things _can_ be fixed, but it'll require work. I'm prepared to try and keep things going, but I'm going to need help to do it.

The return sheets are a 'little bit done' (I've made a pass, so has Andrew, and I'm not entirely sure if they'll get sent out ok.)

Anyone prepared to give a hand so SINergy doesn't just fizzle? I'm not sure who's done the bookings or anything really...

Edit: Seems that the major problem at the moment is that Darren and Graham just don't have the time - RL is screwing them up. And Rob's household (where the props are stored) are moving out on May 5th.
Which gives us about that long to find a new home for about 1 car _full_ of props, or a couple of car boots filled with the same.
Anyone have space they're prepared to contribute? It might include taking some stuff in a car boot...

Bookings have always been done by Heth.

I will help where I can but am currently somewhat swamped having currently being installed as legacy southern region co-ordinator for cam-uk, which is keeping me frantically busy in large parts of my free time atm.

Whilst I'm a long way away, I can offer storage for props if necessary for a while, since I do have a lot of space at mine.

I'm still unsure whether I can personally make this week due to financial issues (the council have just given me a nice bill for just over 500 quid because they took so long getting around to adding my house to the tax register), but I should be at the April game. Assuming this month is going ahead as planned, does anyone around Cov have enough car space to pick up Paul and Sara on the way up if I can't make it?

It's possible, but not guaranteed - it largely depends on how many are going this session numbers (and cars) wise.

If you do have prop stashing space, that'll come in most handy.

I think we might need to recruit additional reffy types too. (cos there's no chance I can just step in and take over from darren and graham.)

I'd volunteer, but the reason I pulled out of reffing sinergy was twofold. (a) lack of time atm and (b) Graham has been working with me on another, related, project.

As I've mentioned before, I'd be willing to do admin/website/etc stuff... Kinda secretary... :)

*waves his hand in the direction of a reasonably large basement*

That may help with the storage side of it. Dunno about transportation though.

As for reffing, I've already said I'll do what I can to help. I may suck at creating plot, but I think I can handle helping run it and working on downtimes.

Bweeeee. Fun.

I'm in for whatever help you need. I have past experience at running LARPs - wether this is a pro or con is your own call. Besides, all my plot is taking a breather right now and really relies on Darren and Graham being prepared to run it.

I can vaugly do plot and enjoy doing downtimes. I'll try to think of some ideas to hand off to you for in session stuff.

On a side note, the sending of downtime e-mails has shafted itself by making calls to something in com.sun.java that the Java API denies all knowledge of. I'll try and have a look at it but I've started work and my free time has vanished.

Current backup plan is to just copy and paste into e-mail messages and do it all by hand. If you want to recruit me then I'll handle all that at least.

Well, I emailed Ed a CSV dump of the database. What I think would've helped him in the first place though would have been if the downtime viewer displayed the emailed address of the person you're working on somewhere so he could have just grabbed it from there ;)

Yes... well... right. Gimme a sec...

And hmmmm....

Okay. The codes there. It just doesn't seem to be working. Or... it is working. It just doesn't seem to want to admit I've upgraded it. Damn.

I'll try and have a poke, check back tomorrow...

well i'm fully prepared not to get my downtime back cos my e-mail address didn't fit in the address bit of the sheet:(

I'd redily volunteer to do physical stuff but as my own life at the moment is heading the same way it wouldn't be fair. i can do paperwork though on computer if thats any help

Soon as I heard, anyway.
