Well, it's friday. Another week does draw to a close.
I think I feel more at peace with the world than I have in a good long while.

I'd suggest checking out this game.

It's also a stunningly small world. I was for a long while startled by how small a world it was. Indeed, it appears that [livejournal.com profile] portilis has a journal.

Thought for the day: "Trust is an obligation, Impossible is an opinion".

And now, to othre stuff. In the news today, we have hostages released from Guantanamo bay.
Hostages? Yes.

Following a previous rant here. It seems that America has embraced the doctrine of 'do what you can'. They believe that these men in Guantanamo bay are dangerous. So they've locked them up. On the say so of someone in power.

And the world has done nothing.

Now my pointless rhetoric here will change nothing, except I hope a few opinions.

Someone has declared that they believe these men to be evil and dangerous. They have used their power to imprison these people.
This is fair enough. They have the power and the will to use it.

I disagree with them doing this. I believe that it is not right to do this. I believe that whilst our judicial system has flaws, it is about the best solution. A trial held, with evidence presented publically and a jury making a decision. Justice is seen to be done, and few dispute the verdict.
I believe that the people held in Guantanamo bay should be put on trial for treason, and I believe that any evidence against them should be presented.

I also believe that if the world just lets America 'get away with it', then it will happen again.
Unfortunately, I don't know how, and even if I did, I do not have the power to enforce my will. So I shall settle for circulating my opinion, and hoping that enough people will agree that something may be done.

And a poll, because it's friday.
(actually, that's a tenuous reason isn't it. Oh well).

[Poll #251517]

Oh no! Does this mean I'm going to expand? I'm big enough already! *cries*

But I may as well elaborate on the poll, seeing as I'm attaching a 500Mb file to Lotus, which on average takes 40-50 mins (I know this 'cos I've uploaded it several times, to be told the database limit has been exceeded *cries more*). Saving it will probably take longer, but I've never got that far... Lots of Livejournal time. Yaay.
Such a slackeeeerr...

Odd, I can see all four (current) comments, but the LJ is saying that there are only two. *shrug*

I'm a commenting menace today. Just wanted to point out that another 'interesting' (read: psychotic) game is the squirrel game. http://www.mausland.de/squirrel.html

B3ta.com is a site well worth a bookmark, containing as it does so many funky links in the weekly newsletters. As well as some great shopped pics :)

That's not unusual. Wierd caching shit happens in both IE and the LJ front end servers.

I'll update eventually.

Unfortunately, that game is blocked by X-Stop. Sob.
