cov_maelstrom Go, sign up, spam away, and we'll try and organise our group. I think the way to go about it is to discuss plans etc. then have polls on 'key' issues. (like whether to be members of another group, which of the suggested backgrounds and alligances to proceed with etc.) Then get together to finalise minutae and prepare our applications next weekend.
I write stuff in my journal about things.
These things may or may not be based on events and people in my life.
I'm typically not going to be getting at anyone specifically, my rants are usually aimed at general practice.
But this doesn't mean you have to agree. Please, if you think that I'm wrong, then tell me about it. Add a comment, or write your own LJ post about it. If there's an angle you think I've missed, then I'd like to hear about it.
I'm not always right. My opinions are my own. If you don't agree, well surely that's a subject for discussion. Please, debate away. I enjoy it. I'm not saying I'll ever agree, but I'm capable of dealing with people who don't agree with my point of view.
So please, if you think that whatever I just wrote was crap, then tell me about it. Either make a comment, or write a journal entry.
Even along the lines of 'stop whining, and get on with it'.
I like discussion. I think it's good. Especially for work avoidance.
But primarily because it's the source of wisdom. I want to write a journal that inspires people to think, even if they disagree with my opinion.
I've got a second interview tomorrow, for a systems admin job. I could use advice on suitable probing questions to ask, that'll tell me what it's like to work there, without having to ask the interviewers their opinion of the company.
Things like how to tell what their benefits are like, how the staff are treated (eg. with respect to non business use of email etc.).
Whether the manager is an idiot, that kind of thing. Because they're the ones that are hard to tell. And they're also one of the more important points. So please, if anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.
