Well, I had an interview at AAH pharmaceuticals today.
Went fairly well I thought. They seem to offer reasonable training prospects, some variety in stuff, and room for career growth.
They've got a substantial Unix environment, Solaris, and just moving on to DeadRat Advanced Server.
They've also got a symmetrix 8830 (loik what we have).

I _think_ I impressed them. I know a few things, and understand a few neato tricks, I'd be a little surprised/disappointed if I didn't make second interview.

Of course, assuming I do, then I have to think about whether I _want_ to move. Life is not _bad_ here by any means. It's a comfortable, and fairly pleasant working environment.

With a change, well I move into new territory and different rules.
I'll be in Cov, (so more potential for 'going down the pub' with workmates, which is both a pro and a con).
It'll be less flexible on hours - they need coverage until 6 theoretically. (and early - ish too)
They've got on call. (Which sucks, but typically means a healthy allowance - a couple of days pay per week, in return for staying dry, and not going too far away.)
Oh, and the initial pay offer is 28-31k/year. Which would (most likely) be an increase (Although technically I'm due a pay review in April, which going on previous form might be a bit marginal. Although that's counting chickens)

I'm really rather indecisive. I think I've gotten comfortable here, which is the thing I wanted to avoid. (well, comfortable is good, but comfortable inertia is a little worrying.).
Then again, I'm gambling a bit by switching so...
